OneSource provides a way to quickly calculate and insert (in a Quotation, Sales Order, or Invoice line item description) the price of an item displayed in a different price per X. For instance: If the unit (List/Retail) price of an item is $1.95, and if you wanted to have OneSource calculate and insert the price per 100 items, you would need to follow the instructions below to set the item up: - In the Company Setup, click on the Inventory tab, locate the UOM List Activation Method, and select Auto-Pop-up.
- Next, press F10 and open the item record that you would like to price per 100.
- Next, click on the Product Details tab.
- Now click on the Magnifying glass button on the right side of the Item Unit of Measure field.
- If you wanted to calculate and display the item Per 100 item you would enter these values:
- UOM Description: Per 100 (or C or Per/C or however you wanted to display it on the Line Item)
- Quantity: 100
- Sort: 1 (if you have more than 1 UOM conversion, you can control the sort order based on the number you enter here)
- Active: Check the Active checkbox
- Now create a new Sales Order, enter the item number and tab to the Description field. You will notice that a pop up box will appear wherever your mouse is pointing. If desired, click on the Per Per X of your choice to have to automatically inserted into the Item Description (to help clarify to the customer the price per x).
